About me and my work

My name is Marios Sotiriou and I am the owner of Station Tattoo piercing located in Nicosia Cyprus. I have been working as a professional piercer and tattoo artist for about 12 years now. Amongst these years I have participated in lectures and seminars for body piercing and tattoos that took place in UK, Germany, Austria, Australia, Thailand, France and Italy.

”ちから”

It'll be around five more months before I turn eighteen, and start looking into tattoo parlors for the right tattooist to engrave his ink into my skin. Some people find tattoo graffiti for the body, which may be so, but I've always found graffiti quite admirable.

There have been many things that I've gone through in my life that have caused great hardship for me, and etched itself into the person that I am today. I cannot go back, I cannot become the person I once was, but I can strive to become me, to guide who I will become in the future. I can't say that I've pushed myself through the hardships, but got up every day regardless of the outcomes. I have given up at times, admittedly there have been months of just giving up. Just nothing exc…

tatoo

As a young girl, i love tatoo! I even want to have all of the beautiful tatoos on my body! I know it's sounds crazy, and of course my families don't like tatoos, they think tatoo is a signal of bad gays! I know it's really hurt for people who keen on tatoo, but, you know, stareotypical! They always think they're right, they're the white part of the world, they are the best! But, who will give a shit! I even donnot want to care about what you say! Obviously, thinking is always different from the true life, they treat me like a bad girl who is smoking, drinking, and has tatoos. How ridiculous they are! I'm 20 years old! Even it's wrong that i have a boyfriend! Holy shit! However, who cares?~!

Brent Burns Shows Off His Harry Potter Tattoo

So, you love Harry Potter. But would you tattoo him on your leg? You have to be a real die-hard Potter fan to tattoo him anywhere on your body, and San Jose Sharks defenseman Brent Burns is such a fan.

Burns not only thinks that "Hogwarts looks fun" as he says in the Mercury News, but also that he's always loved the Harry Potter books and tattoos (his father took him to get his first tattoo, a hockey stick with a Canadian flag, when he was eleven). Naturally, these two passions combine to create the coolest Harry Potter tattoo known to mankind. If you're a big Harry Potter fan like Burns, enter the Golden Snitch Giveaway!

Chefs Meet Ink

It's not a surprise that many people get tattoos dedicated to the things that they are most passionate about. Whether it be Grateful Dead, unicorns, popsicles, your mom, or anything else - the common theme of a good tattoo should be that it is something you are extremely passionate about. One of the more recent trends among emerging chefs is getting tattoos that represent their craft. Chefs are frequently getting tattooed with their favorite ingredients and tools - similar to the tattoos that military men got. In fact, FT Magazine points out how there are many similarities between the two professions. The magazine states "Both professions require uniforms, falling in line under seniors (“Yes, chef!”), and what outsiders consider huge, som…

Facebook Tattoo

This is some dedication to her social media friends! This one hardcore Facebook user tattoos every. single. one. of her (facebook) friends on her right arm. How many friends does she have? 152. Measly by Facebook standards? Yes. Effusive by tattoo standards? Also yes. I wonder what she'll do when her friends change their pictures on Facebook...

Get Auto Inked

Tattoos require a lot of work and effort; not only is it permanent, but you have to go to a tattoo parlor to get inked. Well, now you just may not have to! Apparently, there are "Automatic Tattoo Machines" that do the work of a licensed tattoo artist. Just buy this puppy and boom, you can get inked anywhere, anytime!

While it looks a bit sinister in the most expensive, sleek way possible, it's a legitimate work of art/machinery by Chris Eckert. Be sure to check out his website; you can see just how much effort his put into the machine.

Watch the video below to watch the machine at work. Will you be trying it out, or do you prefer the good old-fashioned way?

Exploded Tattoo

I love this project created by Anna Stump and photographer Ted Meyer. For each model a life size painting was done of one of their tattoos and they were photographed standing next to it. What a great idea. And how satisfying it must be for these people to see their body art blown up on a wall. I can't imagine my simple black & white tattoo would make for a very impressive painting but it sure is fun to look through the images on Anna's blog.

TAKE YOUR TIME

I've been planning to get full sleeves done for a few years now, but I'm still refining the design concept, and searching for the right artist. I have 6 tattoos already, and I'd have to say - above all: take your time.

This is an expression of who you are, and there's no such thing as too much preparation before you commit to a design or an artist. Find someone whose style and demeanor "fit" with you, and you will be happy with the results.

There's nothing worse than "what if" - what if I had taken more time to be sure the design was what I wanted, what if I had taken more time to find the right artist for me... On the flip-side of that - there's nothing more satisfying than having a piece you are 100% satisfied with, and that you can be pro…
